Kindness #12,13,14

Sorry I haven't gotten a chance to update in a few days. I've been busy trying to make sure I pass my finals. Here they are:

#12: I told my supervisor I wanted to study abroad next year and he was very supportive. He said that he would make sure I would find a way to do it. It's always nice to hear that someone believes in you.

#13: As the RA for my floor, it's my job to put up posters about the hall closing for Christmas break. I had to tape up letters on the wall that read:

H-A-P-P-Y  H-O-L-I-D-A-Y-S-!
C-L-O-S-I-N-G
I-N-F-O-R-M-A-T-I-O-N
2-0-0-8
Of course by the next morning, some residents had torn down and ripped many of them in half. Being the clever kids they are, they used the remaining letters to spell out

HORNY HOLIDAYS 2008!

Very cute. But here's the act kindness: one of my fellow RAs called me up the other day and told me she saw one of my residents picking up the papers off the floor and trying to put them back to where they were.

#14: With finals week here, we have a policy of 24-hour quiet hours in the residence halls. I wrote it up on my white board, "24 Hour Quiet Hours."

Here's what it looked like the next day:

I'm going to look at the silver lining and say this is an act of kindness because they at least kept the spirit of the message up. It's also pretty hilarious.

Kindness #15: Feeding the hungry

Cut and paste...literally
