One of the friendliest people I know is Miguel, who works in our residence hall on the ABLE custodial staff. Every morning at nine he would show up to work with a smile on his face and greeting anyone who passes by with a friendly good morning. He takes the time to make polite conversation about weather, classes and current events. Occassionlly, I would also hear him speak Spanish to some of our Spanish-speaking students.
However, the other day, I discovered that he was also teaching Spanish to some of our residents who are non-native speakers. He would teach them how to answer phrases like, ¿Quantos años tienes? and ¿De dónde eres? It's really nice of him to take the time out of his busy schedule to teach college students.
