June Concerts: Barry Manilow and Air Supply
Apparently June is the month when dreams come true. On the 14th, I saw
perform live at the beautiful
in Los Angeles. I had the thrill of having fifth-row seats. I was even close enough to get a few winks from Barry himself-- that rascal! As always, he was in top form and sang every hit he could squeeze into the 90-minute show. He even threw in a few rarely performed gems like "Lay Me Down" and "Hang On."
Why yes, I do get a new shirt every concert.
Right before singing "American Bandstand."
Another dream came true last week when I saw
in concert. What I loved about their concert was that they sang every single hit just the way they originally recorded them, which is the way we all know and love them. They even left the stage and wandered through the aisles to shake hands with the audience. Everyone loved them. At the end of the show, I rushed the stage again (possibly becoming a habit with me). I waved my Air Supply Greatest Hits record album and they graciously signed it!
Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock with the band.
Graham Russell signing my record!
Time to get a frame for my signed album cover.
