Golden Gate Good Samaritans
Today, I'd like to share a happy story about a
Bay Area couple who spent Valentine's Day at the Golden Gate Bridge
. While there, they stumbled upon a small camera bag filled with paperwork, credit cards and... $11,000 in cash. If I found $11,000, my first thought would be to drop the money and run-- because the drug lord it belongs to is probably right around the corner, coming back for it with an AK 47!
Luckily for the guy who lost the money, I wasn't the one who found it. The nice couple turned the money over to the police, who were able to track down the rightful owner. It turns out the guy was a Chinese tourist who was holding onto the money for some families he was traveling with. He later tried visiting the couple to thank them in person, but they weren't home at the time, so he thanked them over the phone and sent them a reward check. Faith in humanity restored!
