I have many sweet memories of going to my grandmother's house every day after school and watching Oprah with her. The best episode of the year was always Oprah's Favorite Things, an hour of Oprah promoting products and giving them away to her studio audience. I don't know why I liked those episodes so much. It's not like I was the one getting a flatscreen tv or a Kitchen Aid mixer. I think half the fun was watching the audience jumping, screaming and weeping with excitement-- over a toaster or a set of scented candles. Well, if Oprah can have her favorite things, so can I. Admittedly, I don't have a lot of fancy things but what I do have are hobbies and fond memories. Here's a collage of my favorite things from this past year.
