The Cost of Education

Another loving mother-daughter conversation I happened to overhear on the street. I couldn't help but laugh to myself.

Mom: I can't believe how much I'm spending on your tuition. This semester alone drained half of my bank account!
Daughter: If it's any consolation, I'm doing really well in my studies. Aren't you at least proud of me?
Mom: Shut up.
Daughter: Ok.
