I did it. I got a Mac. After being a PC my whole life, I decided to make a switch. I had my Gateway for almost two years, but it was giving me problems. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on for a couple of weeks at a time and I ended up having to do a lot of projects in the computer lab.
Actually, I wasn't planning on buying a Mac so soon because I'm broke, but there was a sale in our bookstore. For $899 pre-tax I got a Macbook that came along with a scanner/printer/copier. I got it on Friday, but I've had a really busy weekend so I didn't get to open it until now.
I was going to buy a cover at the Apple store yesterday, but I figured I could get them cheaper online (they were $50 at the store). Luckily, I found a pink hard cover online for $12 that came with a free keyboard cover. With shipping and insurance and tax, it came out to under $25. Hopefully it was a good deal.
