So little by little, I'm going to simplify my life. I'm starting with the one place where I spend hours of everday wandering around: Facebook. I am deleting almost everything from my info page. If people were really my friends, they would know my favorite movies and books. If they don't and they really cared, they could just ask. Otherwise, why would I want strangers or random people knowing these things about me? The one thing I am transplanting here is my favorite quotes section. I love quotations. They're a mixed bag, but here are my favorites:
Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.
Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.
C'est la vie, etc.
Nothing is worse than missing an opportunity that could have changed your life.
MEREDITH: "Okay, here it is, your choice... it's simple, her or me, and I'm sure she is really great. But Derek, I love you, in a really, really big pretend to like your taste in music, let you eat the last piece of cheesecake, hold a radio over my head outside your window, unfortunate way that makes me hate you, love you. So pick me, choose me, love me."
You’re not getting this, are you? This is 99 cents. You can buy anything for 99 cents. (Places small, plastic chair on the bar counter) It’s small. It’s Chinese-sized. It has cat-type creatures on it. But it is a chair. For 99 cents you can buy furniture. That’s America, man.
For your information, classic rock is classic-- and it rocks!
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.
Elinor Dashwood: Did he tell you he loved you?
“If you fight terrorism, that’s based in fear. If you promote peace, that’s based in hope.”
Greg Mortenson, best-selling author of Three Cups of Tea, who gave a lecture at USF

Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice, 1811
From the movies:
Mr. Darcy: You must know... surely, you must know it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I'd scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.
Elinor Dashwood: Did he tell you he loved you?
Marianne: Yes... no. Never absolutely. It was everyday implied but never declared.
