The best way to beat boredom is to blog about it

My mom always said that only lazy people get bored because if you look around, there's always something to do. With that said, I think an easy way to deal with boredom is to blog about it. This also works for procrastination, anger, sadness, etc.

Now, I'm not really that bored. I just find myself with a lot of time on my hands. With most of my residents moving out of the hall and back home for the summer, I've been filling out forms to check them out of their rooms. I made three stacks of papers: To Do, Next and Done. And of course, the Post-it notes aren't magically floating in air. I just stuck them to my window.

While waiting for people to get ready to move out, I've decided to continue knitting my sock. I posted about getting some lovely yarn last December, and I wanted to make my first pair of socks after I found a great sock pattern from Silver's Sock Class. I slowly worked on it for about a month until I got to a part in the instructions that I couldn't understand. So I just stopped. For 5 months. One thing about me is that I hate leaving things undone/unresolved...except when it comes to my knitting projects. Whenver I mess up or get to a part that I can't do, I just stop. I usually come back to it and try to pick it up, but it can be months later. Luckily, my friend Sarah was nice enough to teach me how to finish my sock. Here it is so far. I'm really enjoying it again and I hope to have enough willpower to do the other sock. I wouldn't have much use for just one sock.
