Kindness #17: Spanish Lessons
One of the friendliest people I know is Miguel, who works in our residence hall on the ABLE custodial staff. Every morning at nine he would show up to work with a smile on his face and greeting anyone who passes by with a friendly good morning. He takes the time to make polite conversation about weather, classes and current events. Occassionlly, I would also hear him speak Spanish to some of our Spanish-speaking students.
However, the other day, I discovered that he was also teaching Spanish to some of our residents who are non-native speakers. He would teach them how to answer phrases like, ¿Quantos a ños tienes? and ¿De d ónde eres? It's really nice of him to take the time out of his busy schedule to teach college students.
